HAND-FORGED & LOCALLY SOURCED
Since we use locally acquired, recycled, and specially collected material, each finished product has its unique touch. Although we strive to replicate all items according to our samples and the images we provide to our customers, our handmade process allows for unique details that will make each slightly different. Tool-marks and imperfections are embraced as it makes each piece of jewelry completely unique. As you wear HARP, your pieces will continue to build character as they form to your body, tarnish according to your skin, and acquire small scratches and dents. We believe this is what makes HARP beautiful.
We believe strongly in supporting the independent shops in our own community. Because of this, we source our brass, findings, tools, and packaging from Oakland or California based companies.
CUSTOMIZED PRODUCTS
If you have special requests please get in touch with us on our contact page. Although we cannot make changes to most items on a general basis, we encourage you to ask to see if we can accommodate. For customizable (gift) items, please refer to HARP for Mark and Graham.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
All of HARP. jewelry is designed for easy wear and care. The 14 karat gold-filled chains and brass pieces vary in its size and delicacy, but none of them require special attention or care when being worn. Please note, however, that brass will tarnish with wear. Some love this natural patina, and others prefer to keep their brass shiny. To retain the shiny new look of polished brass you can use a small amount of vinegar on a soft cloth or cotton swap, toothpaste, or a brass polish for an extra shiny look. Wash off any vinegar/toothpaste residue with clear water when you're done. Avoid clasp, beads, and chain and cords.
